1. Who we are
Project Grades is an independent community grading app for climbers at The Project Climbing Centre. It is not affiliated with or operated by The Project Climbing Centre.
2. What data we collect
- Email address (for account creation and verification)
- Username (chosen by you, displayed publicly)
- Grade votes you submit for climbs
- Quality ratings you submit for climbs
- Climbs you mark as completed (your ticklist)
- Comments you post on climbs
- Your grade display preference (V-scale or Font)
3. How we use your data
- To provide community grade consensus for climbs
- To maintain your personal ticklist and stats
- To display your username on the leaderboard (only if you opt in)
- To show your comments on climb pages
4. Data sharing
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties. Your data is stored securely using Supabase (EU region). We do not use your data for advertising.
5. Your rights (GDPR)
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of all data we hold about you
- Rectification — correct inaccurate data
- Erasure — delete your account and all associated data
- Portability — export your data in a machine-readable format
- Object — opt out of the leaderboard at any time in your profile settings
To exercise these rights, use the Export My Data or Delete Account options in your profile.
6. Data retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. On account deletion, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days.
7. Cookies
We use only essential cookies for authentication (session management). No tracking or advertising cookies are used.
